Cambridge-based PlaqueTec, a company focused on coronary heart disease, has appointed Dr. Nick West chief medical officer. West is a consultant interventional cardiologist at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, and a research-active clinician. Previously he has been clinical lead for interventional cardiology at Papworth, deputy chair of the British Cardiovascular Society acute cardiac care working group and a member of the guidelines and clinical practice committee. He has also acted as an expert advisor to NICE.
